From the bamboo grotto to the manicured vista lawn, we have several picture-perfect ceremony spaces for you to choose from – both intimate and expansive.

As you exchange “I do” beneath the arms of the canopy of trees above, you’d be forgiven for thinking that time can, indeed, stand still. That’s the magnificence of Ōmahanui for you.

After the ceremony, guests can enjoy sipping champagne while journeying through our gardens before arriving at your dream reception. Come evening, bask in the glow of the pond lights, the open fire pit illuminates the garden, and guests dine and dance the night away in the spectacularly lit marquee.

Omahanui was more than we could’ve ever imagined. The walk through the gardens from the ceremony to reception was an absolute dream! The team were so incredible to deal with. we Want to re-do our day over and over just so we can experience Omahanui again.

FAQs

  • The majority of your guests will arrive and depart by bus. We will organise the bus on your behalf and on charge it to you. It will be approx. $900 return for one bus (50 guests) from Tauranga CBD.

    There is parking on site for a few cars - we recommend you save these for bridal party, elderly, guests with babies or disabilities.

  • Long story short - we will do the set up for you!

    We will hold a rehearsal some time in the days before your wedding. At this point you can drop off name tags or decorations that simply need to be placed on the tables and we will take care of the set up for you on the day. If you have a florist or stylist, they will have access from 10am.

  • We will pack everything down for you at the end of the night and you can collect it in the morning or at another prearranged time. We want you and your family and friends to enjoy the whole day without worrying about a thing!

  • Yes! The corkage charge is $15 per 750ml bottle - this covers staff to serve your wine, glassware, breakages, chilling, ice, rubbish & recycling.

  • There are three things that Ōmahanui will charge you for:
    1. Venue Hire
    2. Transport
    3. Bar tab/corkage

    Everything at the venue is included in your venue hire - there are no extra costs for turning on the lights, using the sound system etc.

  • Aside from the Transport and Bar tab that we will invoice you for separately there are a few third party vendors you will either need, or may want, to book in.

    We have a list of vendors we recommend and will share this with you once you’re booked in.

  • You may use any professional caterer. We have a full commercial kitchen on site for your chosen caterer to use. Ōmahanui does not offer in house catering and you cannot provide DIY catering - except for cake/dessert.
